The petitioner prays for additional financial assistance for being deployed in the containment and management of COVID 2019.

The petitioner refers to the application made for financial assistance. The Block Development Officer, Datan-II Development Block, vide a certificate dated 8th October, 2020, has certified that the petitioner is eligible for coverage under the insurance policy for person deployed in COVID -2019 related duties as per the order number HF/O/COVID-19/2020/3085 date01.04.2020. 3.

The application of the petitioner for financial assistance is alleged to be kept pending.

Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Block Development Officer, Datan-II Development Block to take necessary steps to consider and dispose of the prayer of the petitioner for grant of additional financial assistance strictly in accordance

with the government norms at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If the petitioner is found eligible to receive such financial assistance, then necessary steps shall be taken to disburse the same in his favour without any further delay.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
