The petitioner is in custody for more than two years and prays for bail.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the only eye witness/surviving victim to the incident has not been able to identify the petitioner in Court. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. It appears that the petitioner has been seen to be present at the spot in the CCTV footages of the place of occurrence. Two persons were murdered. The State proposes to examine forty-two more witnesses. Eight witnesses have been examined.
Considering the gravity of the offence and alleged involvement of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.
The application is disposed of.
