The petitioners are members of the Bhagwanchak Samabay krishi Unnayan Samity Limited. It is the contention of the petitioners that the life of the board had expired, but the election has not yet been held. As there is no functional board, the members are suffering from various problems including non-grant of agricultural loan.

Mr. Nayak, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State respondents, submits that the commission may be directed to take necessary steps to hold the election, in accordance with law. Having considered the rival contentions of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Co-operative Election

Commission, West Bengal to complete the election of the society within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
