Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record including the statements of witnesses and injury report which prima facie establish the involvement of the petitioner in throwing acid upon the victim lady and a minor child.

Keeping in mind the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
