Mr. T. M. Siddiqui, learned advocate, who normally appears for the State and has represented the State in WPA 10629 of 2021 is requested to represent the State in this matter. The office of the Legal Remembrancer is directed to regularise the appointment of Mr. T. M. Siddiqui. Mr. Suvro Prakash Lahiri, learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that his client has applied to the Secretary, Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal and the District Registrar, Howrah for being appointed as Muslim Marriage Registrar and Kazi in the Jagatballavpur Police Station, District: Howrah. He submits that the request has not been considered till date.

Mr. T. M. Siddiqui, learned counsel appearing for the State-respondents submits that such application cannot be unilaterally considered unless the formal advertisement inviting applications is issued by the State in this regard. However, since the writ petitioner has made an application, the District Registrar, Howrah, namely, the respondent no.5 herein shall consider the representation of the

petitioner dated 8th March, 2021 and communicate a suitable reply.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been called for by this Court, the allegations in the writ application shall not be deemed to have been admitted by any of the respondents.

There shall be no order as to costs.
