The petitioner participated in the 6th Regional Level Selection Test (Assistant Teacher), 2005 and was successful, in pursuance thereof, she was appointed as an Assistant Teacher in a Government aided school of the subject English (Hons.).

The petitioner, at the time of her said appointment, was pursing her Master's Degree in the relevant subject and had completed it in the year 2007.

The petitioner is praying higher scale of pay on enhancement of her qualification in the relevant subject.

It appears from the record that the petitioner has a pending representation dated February 26, 2024 with the said prayer before the District Inspector of Schools (S.E) Birbhum, the respondent

no. 3 herein, the said representation forms part of the writ petition, being Annexure 'P-11'.

The respondent no. 3 shall consider and dispose of the said representation as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order, after giving the petitioner an opportunity of hearing and allowing her to place all the relevant judgments on the issue.

W.P.A. 10595 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
