Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. Learned advocates for the petitioners and the private respondent nos. 6 to 11 are present.

State has submitted a report which reflects that the genesis of the dispute is a marital discord and on the basis of which Baguiati Police Station Case No.

223/2025 dated 28.03.2025 was registered under the relevant provisions of BNS and the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The grievance of the petitioners is that their representation dated 11.04.2025 wherein the petitioner no.3 complained that she and her family members have been subjected to harassment and assault were not acted upon. To that effect, certain medical documents have been enclosed along with this writ petition. Since the postal receipts reflect a different address so far as Baguiati Police Station is

concerned, any of the petitioners would approach the Baguiati Police Station with the same representation dated 11.04.2025 along with the medical documents. Police authorities would accept the same, conduct an enquiry and take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 9762 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
