Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Anirban Mitra, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the Union of India. He is directed to appear on behalf of the N.C.B. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course.

Petitioner is aggrieved by the factum of the delay caused in the present case after charges were framed since one of the accused person is absconding.

In view of the peculiar circumstances of the case, I direct that the learned trial court would take steps for exhausting the process of law so far as the absconding accused is concerned and thereafter, if required, proceed with the trial of the case. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that there are four witnesses cited by the prosecution. The learned trial court would fix a schedule of three dates and fix a schedule once in every two months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical

conclusion within a reasonable period of time, once the same commences. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either of the parties. All efforts be taken for concluding the trial by producing the materials, exhibits and documents on the dates so fixed for examination of the witnesses.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 1493 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
