1. The alleged contemnors, Mrs. Purnima Das and Ms. Chandana Karmakar are present before this Court in answer to the Rule.

2. The learned Advocate for Mrs. Purnima Das submits that the order of the Court had been complied with and refers to the order passed by this Court. This Court had directed the concerned Gram Panchayat to comply with the direction of a Coordinate Bench dated February 23, 2021 passed in WPA 3550 of 2020. On the basis of the order of the Coordinate Bench, a decision was taken by the authority on October 27, 2021. It is submitted that the contempt application is misconceived.

3. Under such circumstances, the contempt application fails.

4. The applicant is at liberty to challenge the order of the Gram Panchayat by filing a writ petitioner afresh.

5. Rule stands discharged.

6. Contempt proceeding is dropped.

7. The personal appearance is dispensed with.

8. Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of.

9. Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
