Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the mode and manner of investigation relating to Kalitala Ashuti Police Station Case No. 29 of 2025 dated 08.02.2025. The said case was registered for investigation of offences under Sections 420/467/468/120B of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner refers to the order of bail granted to one of the accused persons. The bail which was granted was primarily on a very technical ground and has got nothing to do with the merits of the case.

So far as the merits of the case is concerned, the investigating officer has collected materials from the DSR-IV, Alipore and taken specimen signatures. Documents have been sent to QDEB, CID, West Bengal for verification. Since these processes are time consuming process, not within the grip of the investigating officer and is dependent on the time of the opinion of the experts concerned,

I am of the view that within a period of three and a half months substantial progress has been made by the investigating officer. However, having regard to the intricacies involved in this type of investigation, the Additional S.P. in-charge of Maheshtala Police Station would monitor the investigation and the investigating officer would in every fifteen days take an acknowledgement from the Additional S.P.

regarding the progress being made in connection with the investigation of the case.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 9821 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
