Banerjee) Mr. Benazir Ahmed ... for the petitioner Mr. Arindam Chattopadhyay Ms. Lipika Chatterjee ... for the State The case of the petitioner is that her father, a school teacher, retired from his service in the year 1985 and died in the year 1988. Thereafter her mother was getting the family pension. Her mother also expired on 21st February, 2021. Thereafter the petitioner made application to the concerned District Inspector of Schools for the family pension.

Mr.

Chattopadhyay, learned advocate representing the State, submits that the DI has forwarded the application to the Director of Pension Provident Fund and Group Insurance on 24th April, 2023. The delay in forwarding the said application was, as has been submitted by Mr. Chattopadhyay, for defective heirs certificate which had to be corrected twice.

Now I direct the Director of Pension Provident Fund and Group Insurance to look into the matter and

if necessary call a meeting with the DI and the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order and if such meeting is not required then such meeting is not required to be called. However, the pension case is to be settled by 12 weeks from the date of communication of this order. With this observation and direction this writ application is disposed of.
