Petitioner submits that because of natural calamities they have suffered and as such unable to demarcate the land after the natural calamity is over. To that effect representations were made to the BL&LRO as well as the BDO. However, in spite of requisitions made, there were no police assistance and private respondents are trying to grab the property.

Be that as it may, Mr. Sengupta, learned senior government counsel, appears on behalf of the State and submits that the administration will take steps in accordance with law and obviously assist the proper persons to have the land demarcated. In ascertaining the demarcation if the land officers who are

responsible, require assistance and police protection, in that case the police administration will extend all support to the land officers concerned.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 10643 of 2024 is disposed of.
