Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Evidence of the minor implicates the petitioner in the offence of penetrative sexual assault. Offence, if proved, would attract a minimum sentence of 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. 3.

Under such circumstances, in view of gravity of the offence and as trial is in progress, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
