The petitioner prays for shifting of the electricity pole which has allegedly been installed on the petitioner's property.

The learned advocate for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited submits that from the said pole, eleven service connections have been given, including that of the petitioner. It is further contended that the petitioner never objected to such installation at the relevant time. The connection was given in 2013. It is further contended that those other eleven consumers have not even been made party to this proceeding.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Assistant Engineer and Station Manager, Chanditala Customer Care Centre, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited to cause an inspection in the presence of the petitioner and those eleven persons who are enjoying electricity from the said pole. If it is feasible and there is an alternative route, efforts shall be made

for shifting of the pole at the cost of the petitioner, without interrupting the service connections provided to the others. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to all the parties.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
