It has been pointed out that the subject-matter of the present case involves recovery of 9.989 kgs. of heroin from a vehicle and the petitioners are thickly connected with the offence.

Prosecution intends to examine only eight witnesses presently, as majority of the witnesses have been examined. Having considered the stage of the case and the huge quantity of seizure of contraband, I am not inclined to release the petitioners on bail.

Accordingly, the application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 524 of 2025, is dismissed.

However, the State would take steps for expediting and concluding the trial at the earliest.
