Learned counsel appearing for the Bank submits that, as per his instruction, despite several attempts by the Bank, the petitioner could not be contacted at the numbers given by the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner, as per learned counsel for the petitioner, is that he applied for educational loan, which was never disbursed by the concerned Bank.

Since the ambit of the dispute is very limited, there is no need to keep the writ petition pending further.

WPA No. 9789 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent-Bank to furnish in writing to the petitioner, as and when the petitioner meets the concerned branch of the Bank, the specific documents and information / instructions, which are required further by the Bank for the purpose of disbursing the educational loan to the petitioner in terms of the concerned Loan Scheme.

The petitioner shall approach the Bank for such purpose within seven days. Upon such approach being made and the disclosure being made by the bank to the petitioner as regards the further requirement, the petitioner shall comply with the same immediately.

Upon such due compliance, the respondentBank shall disburse the educational loan to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three weeks from the date of compliance of such formalities by the petitioner.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
