Ahsanuzzaman Ms. Suvasree Ghosh ....for the State 1) Matter relates to engagement as Anganwari Helpers under Itahar Integrated Child Development Scheme, Uttar Dinajpur. Petitioners have questioned memo dated 21st October, 2022 whereby seven candidates were selected for being engaged as Anganwari Helpers excluding the names of the petitioners. 2) It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioners that they participated in the selection process and they ought to have been considered for appointment. 3) State respondents are represented by the learned advocate, who has opposed this writ petition based on memo dated 21st October, 2022. It is also submitted that the selection process is complete and selected candidates were engaged as Anganwari Helpers.

4) Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, it appears that though challenge has been thrown to the list of selected candidates as contained in memo dated 21st October, 2022 but it is not demonstrated as to why such selection process was not made in accordance with law.

Moreover, at this stage if list of selected candidates is set aside in that event the candidates who were engaged as Anganwari Helpers will lose their jobs, those selected candidates have not been arrayed as respondents.

5) In view of the aforesaid situation, no relief can be granted to the petitioners.

6) Writ petition stands dismissed.

7) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
