Nilanjana Bhowmick Ms. Puja Goswami Mr. Bhaskar Banerjee ....for the petitioner This application under Article of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the husband praying for a direction upon the learned Judge, Fast Track, 4th Court at Barasat, District-North 24-Parganas to dispose of Matrimonial Suit No.659 of 2024 expeditiously.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite party. However, the learned advocate for the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite party or the learned advocates appearing for them before the learned trial judge.

From the order sheets appended to this application, this Court finds that the matrimonial suit was filed on March 22, 2024. On November 19, 2024, the wife/opposite party herein entered appearance in the said suit by filing a vakalatnama and prayed for time for filing of the written statement.

This Court finds that March 21, 2025 had been fixed for filing of the written statement.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that till date the written statement has not yet been filed by the wife/opposite party herein. In the light of the aforesaid submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioner CO 1544 of 2025 is disposed of by requesting the learned Judge, Fast Track, 4th Court at Barasat, District-North 24-Parganas to make an endeavor to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No.659 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties provided the petitioner/husband is not in default in payment of any alimony and maintenance.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
