Subhankar Chowdhury v. State Of West Bengal
14.06.2022.
Ct. No.28 as (Rejected) C.R.M. (A) 2381 of 2022 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Malda P.S. Case No.65 of 2022 dated 27.01.2022 under Sections 420/506 of the Indian Penal Code.
In the matter of : Subhankar Chowdhury.
... Petitioner.
Mr. A. K. Chowdhury, Mr. Rajib Ghosh.
...for the Petitioner.
Mr. Tanmay Kr. Ghosh, Mr. Arindam Sen.
.....for the State.
Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the parties. Having considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in dishonestly selling land to different individuals, we are of the opinion custodial interrogation is necessary and this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
