(Via Video Conference) Mr. Pinak Mitra, Mr. Somnath Majumder ...for the petitioner Ms. Chama Mukherjee, Md. Danish Taslim ...for the State Counsel for the petitioner submits that his daughter-in-law has locked their residence and is preventing them from entering into their own house. Criminal cases are pending, lodged by the daughter-in-law against the petitioner and his wife and vice-versa. A charge sheet has been filed in the complaint of the daughter-in-law and investigation is on in so far as the complaint of the petitioner and his wife are concerned.

The daughter-in-law admittedly does not stay in the said premises. The petitioner not having a key to the lock put on the said premises is unable to enter therein.

In that view of the matter, the petitioner and his wife shall be escorted into their own house immediately upon being requested. It shall be ensured that there is no breach of peace in the

said premises where the petitioner and his wife reside.

The Officer-in-Charge, Dhantala Police Station is also authorized to break open any lock that may have been put on the said premises to enable the petitioner and his wife to enter therein. The aforesaid order shall be complied with immediately and as expeditiously as possible. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The personal presence of the Officer-inCharge, Dhantala Police Station is dispensed with. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
