The notification dated 08.02.2021 issued by the Co-operation department, Government of West Bengal whereby the Board of Directors of the Liluah Co-operative Bank has been dissolved by invoking provisions of Section 35 of the West Bengal Cooperative Society Act, 2006 is under challenge in the instant writ petition.

The learned advocate representing the respondents submits that the order is an appealable one.

An order passed under Section is appealable under Section 147, Third Schedule, serial No. 4 of the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 2006.

In view of the provision for appeal being available, the instant writ application stands dismissed.

Dismissal of the writ petition will not stand in the way of the petitioner from invoking the appellate provision, if so advised.
