And Rejected In Re : Tanmoy Howladar @ Tanmay Howlader ..... petitioner Mr. Kingsuk Mondal ...... for the petitioner Mr. Madhusudan Sur, Ld. A.P.P.
Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ...... for the State Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He is in custody over 700 days.
Learned lawyer for the State submits that petitioner is the manager of the hotel where prostitution was carried on. We have considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner as the manager of the hotel where prostitution was being carried on. He does not stand on the same footing with co accused who has been enlarged on bail as he was a mere customer. In view of the gravity of the offence inviting trafficking of women for sexual exploitation and the prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
Trial Court is directed to take prompt steps for consideration of charge at the earliest and in the event the charge is framed to conduct the trial ensuring immediate examination of the vulnerable witnesses and to conclude the same at an early date.
The application being CRM(DB) No. 1388 of 2022 is rejected. (Ananya Bandyopadhyay, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
