The present revisional application has been preferred challenging the order dated 09.02.2023 passed by learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Kalna in Criminal Misc. Case No. 41 of 2021 under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

By the said order, the learned Magistrate was pleased to award maintenance of Rs.2500/- per month to the wife who was the applicant and Rs.2000/- per month to the minor son. Having regard to the quantum which was awarded, I am of the opinion that in view of the market index, there is no illegality in the order so passed.

The present revisional application has been preferred by the husband wherein he has contended that the wife/opposite party no.1 has earning Rs.5000/- to Rs.6000/- per month as he is engaged in the job of binding 'Rakhi'. Having regard to the fact that the husband happens to be an able bodied person, I am of the opinion that the quantum so awarded by the learned trial court does not call for any interference.

Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 1505 of 2023 is dismissed.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
