The writ petition is disposed of directing the Additional Registrar of Assurance - I, Kolkata, respondent no. 3 herein, to take necessary steps for registration of the development agreement in accordance with law, by following the provisions of the Indian Stamp Act and the Indian Registration Act, within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If any defects are detected, the petitioner shall be informed accordingly and allowed to rectify the same.

This court has not gone into the merits of the claims and counter-claims of the parties.

It is expected that the entire exercise shall be completed expeditiously.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
