Date has been fixed for framing of charge on 24.6.2022. Delay in the matter is attributable to the intervening pandemic condition.

Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of the case, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. Trial court is directed to consider the issue of framing of chare on 24.6.202 and if it is unable to do so, positively within a month thereof and thereafter take the trial to its logical conclusion at the earliest without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

Personal appearance of the investigating officer is noted and dispensed with.
