The matter was taken up for consideration by this Court on June 18, 2021. It has been recorded that a dispute cropped up between the petitioners and the Vice-chancellor of the University. The petitioners sent a mail to the Vice-chancellor on May 11, 2020 which is annexed at page 62 of the writ petition. On receiving the said mail it appears that the University has debarred the petitioners from appearing in the ensuing examination. The learned advocate representing the University has pointed out page 62 before this Court. After going through the contents of the said mail this Court does not approve the conduct of the petitioners at all. The language in the said mail cannot be accepted to be the

conduct of a student towards the Vice-chancellor of the University. The students should maintain the decorum and the decency to behave with the senior professors and more so with the Vice-chancellor.

The learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners pray unconditional apology for the contents of the said mail.

Upon hearing the submissions made on behalf of the parties, with a view not to put an end to the career of the students, the Court grants leave to the students to apply before the Vice-chancellor praying for unconditional apology in writing about the said mail. In the event, such a representation is forwarded by the students to the Vice-chancellor, then necessary steps shall be taken up by the University to consider the same and take steps in accordance with law.

The University shall also ensure that the career of the students is not jeopardized in any manner whatsoever.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
