< Mr. Chandan Dutta Mr. Gautam Malik ... for the petitioner Counsel on behalf of the petitioner submits that overdrawn amount that had been deducted has now been refunded to the petitioner. However, he submits that no interest has been paid on the same.

I am of the view that nominal interest is to be paid to the petitioner.

The respondent authorities are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% after one month from the date of retirement of the petitioner till the date of actual payment.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
