Commercial quantity of contraband item was recovered from the joint possession of the petitioners. In view of the restriction in Section 37 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioners' prayer for bail.

The petitioners are in custody for about 1 year 7 months. Chemical analysis report has been made available. Charge sheet has been submitted.

In view of the fact that the petitioners have been in custody for quite sometime, we request the learned Court below to expedite consideration of charges and proceed with the trial as expeditiously as possible.

The prayer for bail is rejected.
