Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. He submits that the father of the principal accused was granted bail. There was twelve days delay in lodgment of the First Information Report from the date of the incident. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the court to the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Considering the facts and circumstances and considering the statements recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the victim, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The application for anticipatory bail is, accordingly, dismissed.
