The petitioner is visually challenged, and hence physical disabled to the extent of 62 percent in both eyes, as per a certificate dated 20th April 2012. The petitioner applied for family pension for life, under the circular No.325SE(B) dated 5th September 2005, issued by the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, for family pension since his mother, late Basanti Mahato was a Group D employee of Bhabanipur High School, district Purulia.

The said application remains pending for consideration till date.

In that view of the matter, the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Purulia, shall consider the petitioner's application dated 25th October 2021, after verifying the medical condition of the petitioner afresh, and in accordance with law. It is ordered that

the aforesaid consideration shall be effected by the concerned District Inspector of Schools, within a period of four months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
