Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the incident on the second occasion when he was assaulted, no case has been registered by the police authorities.

State has submitted a report. The first case being Canning PS Case No.

275/25 dated 24.04.2025 has been registered for investigation. The investigation of the said case was completed and charge sheet has been submitted. On the complaint of the petitioner's wife another case being Canning PS Case No. 309/25 was registered for investigation on 05.05.2025 and the investigation of the said case is still proceeding.

In view of the apprehension of the petitioner that on the second information no case has been registered, I am of the view that petitioner was

unaware regarding the same. Having regard to the steps taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that the police authorities have adhered to the provisions of law, as such no directions are called for at this stage. Police authorities would take the investigation of Canning PS Case No. 309/25 to its logical conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 9886 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
