The petitioners applied for long term mining lease for extraction of black stone on 2nd November, 2015. Despite submitting all relevant documents before the authority, the said lease has not been executed till date. Several representations submitted by the petitioners in this regard fell on deaf ears. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the concerned authority to consider their representation submitted on 12th May, 2022 within a stipulated time frame.

Upon considering the submission made on behalf of the parties and material on record the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 12th May, 2022 within two months from the date of communication of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested persons including the petitioners, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioners within a week thereof.

With the above directions, WPA 9523 of 2022 is disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
