Innocuous prayer of the petitioner is that the police authorities should enquire into the complaint dated March 25, 2022 filed by the petitioner.

The allegation is that some of the local goons have been harassing the petitioner time and again on a misconception that the petitioner had reported against them before the police authorities.

Mr. Banerjee, learned Senior Standing Counsel, appearing on behalf of the police authorities, submits that pursuant to an earlier complaint filed by the petitioner, an investigation was conducted and a charge sheet was filed.

According to Mr. Banerjee, pursuant to the complaint of the petitioner dated March 25, 2022, an enquiry was made and non-cognizable report vide Pujali PS NCR No.156/21 dated May

13, 2021, Pujali PS NCR No.248/22 dated March 25, 2022 and Pujali PS NCR No.276/22 dated April 3, 2022 were submitted. Under such circumstances, writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Inspector-in-Charge, Pujali Police Station, Diamond Harbour Police District, to keep strict vigil so that the petitioner is not unnecessarily harassed. There will be no order as to costs.
