This case has been pending since 2015 and is appearing in the list since 18th January, 2023. The matter was called on each working day of this Court since then but nobody appeared for any of the parties.

Therefore, in this old matter without wasting any further time, the case is taken up for final determination on merit. This revision is for quashing of the proceeding in Complaint Case No. CS-0003008 of 2015 in the Court of Metropolitan Magistrate, 19th Court at Calcutta. The case is under Section 138 read with Section 141 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The allegations and grounds in this case, as the Director of the Company, he had no role to play in the day to day business of the company and as such cannot be made liable vicariously of the offence, if any, by the company. Petitioner has prayed for quashing of the case against him.

Considering the grounds pleaded and materials on record, those are found to be not sufficient and satisfying enough to support the petitioner's case. Accordingly, this case is devoid of any merit and is liable to be dismissed.

The revisional application, being CRR 1117 of 2015, is dismissed.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
