This case has been pending since 2015 and is appearing in the list since 18th January, 2023. The matter was called on each working day of this Court since then but nobody appeared for any of the parties.

Therefore, in this old matter without wasting any further time, the case is taken up for final determination on merit. The petitioner has prayed for quashing of the proceedings in A.C.G.R. Case No. 4534 of 2014 under Sections 323/341/506/114 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of the Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The case is now pending in the court of the Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Courtcum-Special Judge at Alipore. The petitioner has stated, inter alia, that no cognizable case made against him and the First Information Report does not disclose any offence as alleged. The petitioner has prayed for quashing of the proceedings.

Considering the grounds pleaded and materials on record, those are found to be not sufficient and satisfying enough to support the petitioner's case. Accordingly, this case is devoid of any merit and is liable to be dismissed.

The revisional application, being CRR 1122 of 2015, along with CRAN 7/17 (Old No. CRAN 640 of 2017) is dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
