The petitioner being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities has approached this Court.

Learned advocate for the petitioner draws the attention of the court to the information furnished with the Inspector-incharge of Barasat police station. State has submitted a report

which reflects that Barasat P.S. Case No.

168 of 2025 dated 05.04.2025 has been registered for investigation.

The investigation of the said case is in progress. Some of the accused persons were arrested and, subsequently, have been released on bail.

Learned advocate for the respondent no.8 submits that he is not FIR named.

However, since the investigation is in progress, no comments are made whether the person is required in connection with the instant case.

The petitioner apprehends that she may be subjected to further physical torture at the behest of the private respondents.

Having considered that the petitioner suffered injuries, I am of the view that as the investigation is in progress, the investigating officer would take steps to assess the ground reality

whether tension is still subsisting, thereafter, take necessary steps so far as the safety and security of the petitioner is concerned With the aforesaid observations, WPA 9985 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
