Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is similarly situated as the other accused who has been granted bail in CRM(NDPS)675 of 2026. Charges have already been framed. However, witness action has not commenced. Prosecution has relied upon 15 witnesses in order to prove its case, as such, some time will be required to take the trial to its logical conclusion so the petitioner has prayed for bail on any stringent conditions.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

I have taken into account the quantum of seizure which is 299 grams of heroin and similarly accused person having been

granted bail in CRM(NDPS)675 of 2026.

Having considered the locus of the present petitioner, I am inclined to extend the same relief as was granted to Bitul Sk in CRM(NDPS)675 of 2026. The petitioner, namely, Mohammad Ijaj Ahammed @ Ahamed be released on same terms and conditions as the other accused who was released on bail in connection with CRM(NDPS)675 of 2026.

With the aforesaid observations, CRM(NDPS)887 of 2026 is allowed.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
