The writ petition has been filed with the allegation that the authorities of Bhatpara Police Station were delaying in the investigation of the Bhatpara P.S. Case No. 50 of 2021, which was initiated pursuant to a direction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barrakpore. The police authorities have produced the case records from which it appears that the petitioner no. 1 had refused to record her statements under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. The petitioner no. 1 also submitted that she did not have the medical documents in support of her claims of physical torture and assault. Be that as it may, it appears that the investigation has been concluded. A charge-sheet

was filed vide Bhatpara C.S. No. 439/21, has been filed. Matter is pending trial.

Under such circumstances, this court is of the view that as the police authorities have completed the investigation which has culminated in the filing of a charge-sheet, nothing further remains to be decided in the writ petition. As the matter is pending before the learned Trial Judge, the remedies available to the parties, if any, are before the said court. However, the police authorities are directed to maintain a strict vigil to see that there is no law and order problem.

The allegations against the police authorities are not decided in this proceeding.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
