Petitioner has deposited a sum of Rs.84,500/- against the bill for unmetered consumption to the tune of Rs.1,69,000/-. In view of the aforesaid fact and bearing in mind the nature of allegations, we are inclined in granting anticipatory bail to the accused/petitioner.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the accused/petitioner, namely Chittaranjan Sarkar, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
