Petitioner no. 1, being the mother of the respondent no. 6 and who has been restrained from entering the premises which originally belonged to her husband Late Mantu Banerjee, is directed to report to the Inspector in Charge, Naihati Police Station who would depute a lady police personnel to ensure her entry at the residence concerned. The lady police personnel would every alternate day visit the premises and crosscheck whether the petitioner no. 1 is harassed, humiliated or abused at the residence after she enters. Such arrangement would continue for a period of four weeks.

In the meantime, the petitioner no. 1 will approach the appropriate authority under the

Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. If an appropriate order is passed thereafter by the concerned authority, the police authorities would respect, obey and be bound by such order of the concerned authority.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 10838 of 2024 is disposed of.
