Petitioner Mr. Angshuman Patra Mr. Mrinmoy Chatterjee ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Sudip Ghosh Mr. Bitasok Banerjee ... ... for the State We have considered the materials on record including statements of witnesses recorded under Sections 161/164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. It appears that the petitioner and other coaccused persons had dishonestly induced unemployed youth to part with money on the false promise of procuring government employment. In view of the gravity of the offence and as custodial interrogation is necessary to trace out the ramifications of the crime, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
