Mr. Subir Ganguly ..for the State The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of G.R. Case No.338 of 2015 arising out of Nabadwip Police Station Case No.343 of 2015 dated 28.08.2015 under Sections 420/406 of the Indian Penal Code pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nabadwip, Nadia.

The petitioner is the sole accused of this case. It appears that charge sheet in this case was filed on November 22, 2015. Thereafter, the charge was framed on June 22, 2017. Out of 11 prosecution witnesses, only one witness has been examined so far. Since the case is pending before the learned Magistrate for a long period of time, I dispose of this revisional application giving a direction upon the learned Magistrate to dispose of this case as early as possible preferably, within a period of eighteen months from the date of communication of this order. In view of the aforesaid, CRR 1903 of 2026 is disposed of.
