And In the matter of: Haldia Dock Complex .... Petitioner Mr. Amit Kumar Nag ... For the Petitioner This is an application for expeditious disposal of trial/hearing of a complaint case being C.R. 219 of 2015 under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Haldia. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the complaint case was filed in the year, 2015, and since then there has been no effective progress of hearing of the case. The evidence is yet to be started. He prays for a direction so that the complaint case is disposed of expeditiously.

In view of the innocuous nature of prayer made in the complaint, I dispose of this application without giving notice to the opposite parties with a direction that the learned Magistrate will endeavour to dispose of the complaint case being C.R. 219 of 2015 as early as possible preferably within a period of one year from date without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties. The revisional application being CRR 1379 of 2021 is disposed of.
