Upon perusal of the complaint filed before the Officer-in-charge, Baharampore Town Police Station, it appears that the petitioner had approached the police authorities alleging that the respondent no. 8 was trying to grab her property by torturing the petitioner. The complaint does not disclose any particular incident. The nature and extent of physical and mental torture have not been mentioned.

The police authorities must keep a vigil in the locale and ensure that the petitioner is not unnecessarily harassed.
