1. Learned counsel appearing for the accused/petitioners and the de-facto complainant/victim submits as follows. Although the FIR was started under a number of other sections, a charge-sheet could be submitted only under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 351(2) (3) and 3(5) of the BNS. However, the disputes that had led to the registration of the FIR have all been finally settled between the private parties. On such ground the impugned proceeding may be quashed.

2. Learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State files a report, which is taken on record. He submits that the de-facto complainant had come to the police station and stated that a settlement had been arrived at and

the petitioners did not want to pursue the matter. His statement had been recorded.

3. In view of the compromise and settlement arrived at between the private parties, the proceeding in respect of Serampore Police Station Case no. 92 of 2025 dated 27.2.2025 is quashed.

4. Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of. The connected application is also disposed of.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
