Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Sujata Das, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner/de facto complainant submits that although the charge-sheet has been submitted, but till date there has been no progress in the case which was initiated in the year 2020. Records reflect that supplementary charge-sheet was submitted on 10.11.2022 in connection with Bhatar Police Station Case No. 164 of 2020.

Having regard to the fact that charge-sheet and supplementary charge-sheet have already been submitted, I direct the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman to take steps for completing the process of consideration of charges after serving the documents under Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure upon the accused person/persons. If after consideration of charges, the learned court is of the opinion that trial should proceed, in that case the learned trial court would fix at least one date in

every sixty days so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties.

Learned public prosecutor conducting the case would ensure regarding the production of materials, documents and exhibits on the dates so fixed for examination of the witnesses.

All stakeholders would cooperate with the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 1529 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
