In Re: Abhay Tiwari, ... petitioner Ms. Devi Priya Mitra, ... for the petitioner Mr. Bivas Chatterjee, Ms. Anushree Mondal, .... for the State Ms. Devi Priya Mitra, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the charge sheet has already been submitted in this case, and the petitioner is in custody for about six months. At this juncture, there is no justification to detain the petitioner in custody, since the investigation is over.

Mr. Bivas Chatterjee, learned advocate appears for the State and submits that the petitioner is the principal accused in the case. He has also used forged documents, purportedly issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to deceive people. He further submits that the petitioner is a part of racket operating illegal call centres all over the country. Having regard to the gravity of the offence and the apparent complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, the petitioner

does not deserve to be enlarged on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.

The application for bail being C.R.M. 4327 of 2021 is dismissed.
