We have considered the report as well as the order-sheet. Delay in the present case is primarily due to the intervening pandemic conditions. Examination of witnesses have already began. In view of the aforesaid facts and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Trial court is directed to conclude the trial at an early date preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
