The petitioners seek anticipatory bail on the ground that the petitioners had sufficient alibi to obviate the allegations made against the petitioners under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and other allied sections.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail on the ground that the complaint registered in the present case levelled serious and direct allegations against the present petitioners.

We find from the materials on record that the allegations made in the complaint, of course, subject to investigation, have direct bearing with the petitioners' conduct. Moreover, since the investigation is still going on, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners at this stage.

Accordingly, CRM (A) No. 2414 of 2022 is dismissed. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.) (Rai Chattopadhyay, J. )
