Mr. Anirban Dutta Mr. Abhinav Rakshit Ms. Atrayee Chatterjee ...for the Petitioner In this application the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the court below for early disposal of Criminal Revision No. 62 of 2025 pending before learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track, 4th Court, Barasat.

Being aggrieved by the inordinate delay caused in disposal of the aforesaid Criminal Revisional Application learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he filed an application under section 5 of the Limitation Act, which was allowed vide order dated 25th November, 2025 subject to payment of cost of Rs. 10,000/- which was paid by the petitioner/revisionist on 06.12.2025. Since that date the matter is pending for hearing the Revisional application. Accordingly, he prayed for an appropriate direction upon the court below for expeditious disposal of the said revisional application.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, it appears that the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous and if it is allowed in terms of the prayer made therein, the opposite parties will have no cause to prejudice

and as such, the service of copy of application upon the opposite parties is hereby dispensed with.

Having heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and that the prayer made by the petitioner is justified and is required to be allowed to secure the ends of justice, the instant application being CRR 1890 of 2026 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the court below to make every endeavour for expeditious disposal of the revisional application being Criminal Revision No. 62 of 2025 and to make its best effort to dispose of the said revisional application preferably on the next date i.e., on 31st July, 2026 or within a period of three months thereafter.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, duly applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
